Artificial Intelligence So Far

Updated: Jan 3

With the introduction of AI tools like Appsuno for productivity and task automation, Eleven Labs for realistic voice synthesis and narration, Firefly for generative design and image creation, and the widely used ChatGPT for conversational AI and content creation, it’s fascinating to explore how Artificial Intelligence has been integrated into design and advertising so far.

I began using ChatGPT to explore different takes on copy and concepts. It’s been invaluable for generating variations on legacy work or ideas still in development. I usually start with a strong, well-written idea and ask ChatGPT for fresh perspectives—whether that’s crafting three alternative versions or making something feel more conversational. What surprised me most is how well it handles specific prompts like, “Make this headline funny.” While more conceptual ideas often need human refinement, it’s an excellent brainstorming partner that boosts productivity. Plus, it never shows up late for meetings or tries to take credit for the work!

When it comes to image generation, tools like Firefly and DALL·E have been game-changers, saving hours of searching for stock photos or planning shoots that don’t have a budget. While not every AI-generated image is perfect, I often refine them using my own tools to align them more closely with the campaign’s needs. At first, I found the illustration styles a bit homogenized, but that’s no longer the case. These tools even allow me to reference my own work to create custom visuals tailored to the project.

The technology that has truly amazed me lately is voiceover AI. While it takes some effort to fine-tune, the results can be flawless—and incredibly budget-friendly. It’s opened up possibilities I hadn’t considered before, making professional-quality voiceovers accessible for all types of projects.

The ways I use AI are constantly evolving, and the tools are becoming more versatile and refined every day. These advancements aren’t just tools; they’re creative allies, enabling me to focus on high-level strategy and conceptual thinking while they handle repetitive tasks and enhance the creative process. AI has dramatically expanded my design and visual capabilities, allowing me to produce more dynamic and polished visuals faster than ever. It also frees up time and resources to explore innovative ideas that previously felt out of reach due to time or budget constraints. With every new innovation, AI continues to unlock possibilities in design, advertising, and storytelling, pushing my creativity to exciting new heights.

Here are a couple of examples:
